Cookie Information
Career Tones uses a small number of cookies. The public pages do not require an account. How personal information is handled is in the Privacy Policy.
Needed for the forms
After you submit a story or a contact message, a short-lived cookie named ct_flash lets the confirmation page show whether the story text was saved or whether the contact email was accepted. It is deleted when that page is opened. This is not advertising.
Favorite character
If you pick a favorite, the site stores a random id in a cookie named ct_voter. That id is matched to one character so the same browser is not counted twice. It is not your name. Choosing a different character moves the vote.
Private admin
The team sign-in uses a cookie named ct_admin. It is limited to the admin area and expires within 12 hours. Visitors who never open the admin area do not get it.
Measurement
Visit measurement is not active. No Google Analytics ID has been added, so the site does not set analytics cookies and does not show a consent banner.
Embedded video
The YouTube player is not loaded until you press play. After that, YouTube may set its own cookies under YouTube's rules. The thumbnail image before you press play comes from YouTube and does not start the player.
