Terms and Conditions
Career Tones is an animated entertainment and career-education brand operated by SkillsterX FZ-LLC in the United Arab Emirates. These terms explain how the public site may be used. They are written in plain English. They are not a substitute for advice about your own studies, visa, or job.
How personal information is handled is in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptance
Using the website means you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the forms or the vote, and do not rely on the site. You can still leave. Sending a story also requires the confirmation box on that form, which points at these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Who operates the site
The website is operated by SkillsterX FZ-LLC. The public brand is Career Tones. The footer credit “Powered by SkillsterX” refers to that operator. The public contact is hello@careertones.com.
A street address, trade-license number, and the particular free zone of the company are not published on this website.
What Career Tones is
Career Tones makes original cartoon episodes, short comedy, and career-related entertainment about four international students and the messy parts of study and work. The website lets visitors watch public videos through YouTube, meet the characters, vote for a favorite, send a story, and contact the team about press, collaborations, sponsorship, and general questions.
The public site does not create viewer accounts and does not ask visitors to sign in with Google.
Who the site is for
The series is animated entertainment for people interested in university life, careers, and comedy. Younger viewers may watch it. It is not a product made for young children, and the forms should be used by someone who can agree to these terms for themselves.
These terms do not set a numbered minimum age. Do not send a child’s personal information through the forms. Parents can write to hello@careertones.com if they believe that happened.
Permitted use
You may watch the public pages, follow links to the Career Tones YouTube channel, share a link to a public page, pick a favorite character, and send a story or a message that follows these terms. That permission is personal. It is not a license to reuse the show.
Intellectual property
The Career Tones name, logo, original characters including Max, Maya, Zee, and Ayesha, the artwork, scripts, episode films, and the design of this website are owned by SkillsterX FZ-LLC or used under license. All rights that are not expressly given in these terms stay with the owner.
YouTube, Google, Cloudflare, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn keep their own names, players, and technology. These terms do not claim ownership of that material. You keep ownership of a story or image you submit, as set out below.
What you may not do
Do not copy, redistribute, or publicly perform the characters, artwork, scripts, or episodes except where a law allows a limited use, such as a short quotation with credit. Do not sell, license, or merchandise the characters or the brand. Do not train a public dataset on the show’s files if that copies the material rather than linking to a public page.
Do not impersonate Career Tones, SkillsterX, or the characters. Do not suggest that a fan page, product, or school project is an official episode. Do not scrape private submissions, attack the site, or bypass the spam and vote limits.
Stories, images, and messages
The story form accepts a title, a category, and the story, plus optional contact details. Image uploads are turned off until file storage is available, so the form does not take a photo. The contact form accepts an inquiry and emails it to the team. You can also write to hello@careertones.com. Both forms can reject automated or incomplete sends.
Send only material you have the right to share. Do not include another person’s private information or a child’s personal data.
Permission to review
You keep the copyright in what you submit. Sending a story or a message gives SkillsterX FZ-LLC permission only to receive it, store it, and review it privately, including a private team email when notifications are configured. That permission is not exclusive, is not a sale, and is not a right to publish, adapt, translate, or merchandise the submission.
The optional box about being contacted for a possible adaptation means the team may write to you. It does not transfer rights.
Permission to publish
Career Tones will not publish your name, story, image, or social handle in a way that identifies you, and will not adapt the submission into an episode, unless there is a separate written permission that covers that use. If more rights are needed for an adaptation, they have to be agreed in that writing. There is no promise of use, payment, credit, or a reply.
Prohibited content
Do not send content that harasses or threatens anyone, that abuses a person or group because of who they are, that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s copyright or privacy, that contains malware, or that is spam. The team may refuse, delete, or ignore a submission that breaks these terms. Reporting it to the relevant authority is reserved for cases where the law requires or clearly allows it.
Character voting
A favorite is one vote per browser. The site stores a random id, not your name, and moves the vote if you change your mind. Rate limits and a hidden field are used to reduce automated and repeated votes. Votes that are clearly automated or fraudulent may be rejected or removed. The public numbers are counts of votes stored in the database. They are not a prize, a poll with a reward, or a promise about a future episode.
Educational entertainment
Episodes, jokes, character pages, and any on-screen career talk are general entertainment. They are not individualized advice about university admissions, immigration, visas, scholarships, money, law, or getting a job. A situation in the show can be simplified or played for comedy. Check important decisions with a qualified person and with the school, employer, or authority that actually decides.
No promised outcome
Nothing on the website promises admission to a university, a scholarship, a visa, a job, an internship, or any other educational or career result. Watching an episode does not create a relationship with a university or an employer.
Availability
The site is offered as it is available. Video pages, forms, and votes can be interrupted by maintenance, by a hosting or database issue, or because YouTube or another outside service is unavailable. A scheduled show time is a publishing plan. It is not proof that a particular film is already public.
Other sites and YouTube
Watch Now and Subscribe open the Career Tones YouTube channel. Episode pages load a YouTube player only after you press play, from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player domain. Playback is also covered by YouTube’s terms. Thumbnails may load from YouTube before you press play.
Links to Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn leave this website. SkillsterX FZ-LLC is not responsible for those sites’ content or rules.
Collaborations and sponsorship
Press, brands, universities, and partners may write through the contact form or directly to hello@careertones.com. Sending a message does not create a sponsorship, a production agreement, or any other contract. A commercial arrangement exists only when both sides have agreed to it in writing.
Editorial independence
If a sponsor or partner is involved in an episode or a page, that relationship should be identifiable where the sponsored material appears. Paying to support an episode does not buy the joke, script approval, or a favorable fact. Editorial choices stay with Career Tones. The website does not currently display a live sponsor on the public pages. This section applies when a sponsorship is actually agreed.
Liability
To the extent the law of the United Arab Emirates allows, SkillsterX FZ-LLC is not liable for decisions you make from a cartoon or a page, for a third-party website or player, or for a temporary interruption of the site. The site is entertainment, not a consultancy.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or for deliberate misconduct. If a mandatory consumer or data-protection rule gives you a right, that right remains.
Law and disputes
These terms are intended to be read under the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Personal information is also described under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, where that law applies. This page does not choose a specific court, arbitration centre, or free-zone forum, because that seat has not been confirmed for publication. It will be added here after the operator confirms it.
Before starting a formal claim, write to hello@careertones.com and describe the issue. That request is a chance to resolve it. It does not waive a right that the law says cannot be waived, and it is not a deadline.
Changes
These terms can be updated when the site’s features change. The effective date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the site after the date of an update means the updated terms apply to new use. A story already submitted keeps the narrower permission in place when it was sent, unless you later agree to something else in writing.
